At today’s HBO session at the Summer 2011 TCA in Beverly Hills, TRUE BLOOD executive producer Alan Ball says he’s definitely on board for Season 5 of the series that stars Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse. “There will be an end for me on this show at some point, but I just closed a deal to do another season,” says Ball.  “I don’t have any desire to leave, because I’ve had more fun than I’ve ever had in my life.” As for scoops on the new seasons, Ball reveals they will be showing how one of the vampires were “made” […]Read On »

TCA 2011 News: DOCTOR WHO might consider more U.S.-based stories in the future

At today’s 2011 TCA press tour in Beverly Hills, Matt Smith was asked who his favorite DOCTOR WHO was, and the answer is … second Doctor Patrick Troughton. “What’s wonderful about him is he’s weird and peculiar, but he’s not asking you to think he’s weird or peculiar,” says Smith. TCA 2011 News: Steven Moffat confirms DOCTOR WHO is “against Hitler”

Much has been written about the forthcoming DOCTOR WHO episode “Let’s Kill Hitler” at today’s Summer TCA session in Beverly Hills, DOCTOR WHO showrunner Steven Moffat chimed in about any quasi-controversy. “Unequivocally, we’re against Hitler,” says Moffat. “I think he was a bad thing and I’m glad he’s gone. The worst thing you could do to that awful man is to take the Mickey out of him on DOCTOR WHO. We’re not really going to save Hitler. TCA 2011 News: BEDLAM to bring the ‘scary’ to BBC America

At today’s TCA session, BBC America announced that they’re so impressed with the new supernatural series BEDLAM that they decided to move up its airdate from October 8 to October 1 so it can follow the season finale of DOCTOR WHO. At today’s Winter TCA 2011 press tour, ABC Entertainment Group President Paul Lee spoke about the decision to program a three-hour comedy block on Wednesday night, with the addition of new comedies HAPPY ENDINGS and MR. At today’s Winter TCA 2011 press tour, ABC Entertainment Group President Paul Lee spoke about the strategy for V – Season 2 and hopes the numbers continue to be as strong as the season two premiere. “Those lizards just won’t die,” says Lee. “They keep coming back.
