While ABC has filled its new schedule some pretty amazing new programs, the one series that is having many critics scratching their heads is WORK IT – a cross-dressing comedy about two men, who dress like women, to get a job in the working woman’s world. TCA 2011 News: ABC still working on THE INCREDIBLE HULK TV series (and a Marvel character will also be on CASTLE this year)

With Marvel now part of the Disney (and ABC fold), ABC Entertainment President Paul Lee said today during his Television Critics Association executive session that he’s very eager to bring Marvel characters to the network. With GLEE entering Season 3, controversy has dogged the Fox show in the last few weeks. Some of it stems with co-creator Ryan Murphy talking about writing three of the show’s primary leads off the show (Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith) at the end of this season by having them graduating, but failing to mention he was quietly developing a spin-off for them. With HOUSE returning for Season 8 with a leaner cast this fall, and a long negotiation process that delayed the announcement it would be returning, the question mark of whether the show will return for a Season 9 was in the air at today’s Summer 2011 Television Critics Association session for Fox. TCA 2011: NBC reveals the status of THE EVENT wrap-up movie

While speaking with NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt at this summer’s 2011 TCA, ASSIGNMENT X asked about the status of THE EVENT wrap-up movie. Although things aren’t set in stone, Greenblatt does hint that a final decision about its ultimate fate could be decided quite soon. “It’s been discussed with Syfy and a few weeks ago it seemed more possible than it does today, but I honestly don’t know,” says Greenblatt. TCA 2011: NBC Chairman is confident THE PLAYBOY CLUB won’t be boycotted by any other affiliates
