De Mars, already in a band called Power Animal, brought in fellow musicians Kevin McPherson, Aaron Anderson and his brother, the late Steven Sellers. Showalter Network: The CW, Fridays @ 9 PM Original Telecast: October 28, 2011   SUPERNATURAL has done some crazy things in its time, but would an episode called “Slash Fiction” really be about what the title implies? TV Review: SUPERNATURAL – Season 7 – “Shut Up, Dr. Phil”

James Marsters and Charisma Carpenter in SUPERNATURAL - Season 7 - "Shut Up, Dr. Phil" | ©2011 The CW/Jack Rowand

Stars: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Sean Owen Roberts Writers: Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming, series created by Eric Kripke Director: Phil Sgriccia Network: The CW, Fridays @ 9 PM Original Telecast: October 21, 2011 When supernatural shows that are usually dark with hints of humor decide to be lighthearted without committing to going gonzo, the results are usually lightweight. That’s in one way the case with SUPERNATURAL’s episode “Shut Up, Dr. Phil,” but on the other hand, anything that brings together BUFFY and ANGEL alumni James Marsters (Spike) and Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) automatically has worthwhile qualities. Mark Sheppard in SUPERNATURAL - Season 5 - "The Devil You Know" | ©2010 The CW/Michael Courtney

Mark Sheppard is one of television’s reigning kings of returning characters. As CW’s SUPERNATURAL fans know, Sheppard’s character Crowley was also King of Hell for awhile, though he got demoted and then almost smote when angel Castiel (Misha Collins) ascended to godhood in the Season Six finale. The London-born Sheppard will be back in SUPERNATURAL’s upcoming seventh season and recently returned as Jim Sterling in the summer finale LEVERAGE. Right now, though, he’s talking about Crowley, who started out as a Crossroads Demon – or did he? The British-born Sheppard has some interesting theories about this – but he’s wary […]Read On »
