Kenneth Branagh is famous for a whole lot of things. He’s a noted adapter of the works of William Shakespeare for film, having produced, directed and starred in feature adaptations of HENRY V, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, HAMLET and AS YOU LIKE IT (all of which he’s also done on stage). Los Angeles is well known for a being a city of clashing cultures and this years LA Film Festival found its opening night film competing with the aftermath of the LA King hockey championship celebration. While speaking at the 2011 TCM Classic Film Festival screening of his 1981 epic film REDS with moderator Alec Baldwin, writer-director-producer-actor Warren Beatty spoke about wanting to make more movies, but admitted he was a sluggish decision maker. “There’s a point where this little thing called life [happens],” says Beatty. “I have an 11-year-old, a 14-year-old, a 16-year-old and now a just turned 19-year-old.
