COSMOS, the nonfiction series devoted to science and space exploration, originally premiered in 1980. Initially the brainchild of astrophysicist/author Carl Sagan and author/filmmaker Ann Druyan [who married one another after the first series], COSMOS was revived by National Geographic Channel in 2014, with a subtitle, as COSMOS: A SPACETIME ODYSSEY. IFC’s BROCKMIRE premieres its fourth and final season on Wednesday, March 18. The dark comedy about sometimes out of control baseball play-by-play announcer Jim Brockmire, played by Hank Azaria, jumps ten years into the future. The once-disgraced main character becomes the baseball commissioner. Amanda Peet plays Jules James, owner of the small Florida team the Morristown Frackers and Brockmire’s occasional lover.
