Universal Pictures presented the American Premiere of OBLIVION at the Dolby Theatre, where the Academy Awards are held in Hollywood on April 10th.

It was a big setup with Hollywood Blvd. closed from Highland to Orange, fans on both sides of the street and in pens on the black carpet. The press was asked to check-in by 4:30 pm, because Tom Cruise who loves his fans was arriving early to sign autographs and take pictures with as many fans as he could. The spacecraft used in the film also was on display on the carpet.

After Tom signed and posed he came back to the photographers, but it was so sunny that he told all of us he was going to do interviews and come back to us after the sun stopped hitting the carpet and true to his word he did and he posed and looked at everyone. I must say that Tom Cruise is one of the nicest celebrities. He shows respect to his fans and all the press, especially us photographers.

Walking the black carpet were the stars of the film, which included: Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Melissa Leo, Zoe Bell, Joseph Kosinski (Director/Producer), Jesse Berger (Executive Producer), Barry Levine (Producer), Karl Gajdusek (Writer), Claudio Miranda (Director of Photography), Anthony Gonzalez (Composer) and Joseph Trapanese (Co-Composer).

Joining them were guests, which included: Morgana Freeman, Daphne Wayans, Agnes Monica, Marisol Nichols, Frank Marshall, Michelle Stafford, Finola Hughes, Denise Vasi, Jennifer Aspen, Dominik García-Lorido, Shannon Tweed, Gene Simmons, Nick Simmons and Sophie Simmons.

OBLIVION arrives in theaters and IMAX nationwide on April 19th.
