It was game on tonight on DANCING WITH THE STARS. All couples brought out their best moves and tricks. Some worked, some faltered. But, with a double elimination coming their way Tuesday, this wasn’t the time to play it safe. William Levy & Cheryl Burke topped the leader board tonight with a perfect 30 in their first round.

The couples’ second round dances were accompanied by another male or female pro of their choice. Levy & Burke choose Tony Dovolani to grace the floor with them during their Paso Doble, keeping them in first place at the end of the night.

Surprisingly, Roshon Fegan & Chelsie Hightower had their best night ever! Fegan is all grown up now and in second place. Yes, above Katherine Jenkins, Maria Menounos AND Donald Driver! Fegan & Hightower choose Sacha from the DWTS troupe to dance the Paso Doble with them with excellent results.  Melissa Gilbert & Maksim Chmerkovskiy had their best night as well. First, with a decent 24 for her Foxtrot and then, with the help of Chmerkovskiy’s brother Val, a score of 27 for her Samba in the Trio round.

Driver disappointed no one tonight with an impressive 27 for his Tango and then an even more impressive 28 for his Jive with the help of Karina Smirnoff. Jenkins sauntered a bit with an only so-so score – for her anyway – of 26 for her Viennese Waltz but then she shimmied back with the help of Tristan MacManus in her Cha Cha Cha.

The biggest shock was Menounos, who landed the first perfect 30 of the season last week. Len Goodman was not amused with her at all tonight. He didn’t think she danced enough Viennese Waltz in her first dance. Then when the Trio round came he said her dance had no connection to the Samba and gave her a lousy 7. Ouch!

It’s a close one. Two duos will go home. Next week is the semi-finals!
