Ginnifer Goodwin in ONCE UPON A TIME - Season 1 - "Heart of Darkness" | ©2012 ABC/Jack Rowand

Stars: Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla, Jared Gilmore, Josh Dallas, Raphael Sbarge Writer: Andrew Chambliss & Ian Goldberg Director: Dean White Network: ABC, Sunday nights, 8 p.m. Original Telecast: March 18, 2012 At last, we’re getting somewhere. Last week, I complained that ONCE UPON A TIME was getting bogged down in back stories. Not this week. In “Heart of Darkness,” we’re actually moving the plot along – to a very scary and odd place, admittedly. So maybe the writers haven’t written themselves into a corner, after all. The episode starts with Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) on the run from King George, searching for Snow […]Read On »

With FRINGE on a creative high this season, fans have been wondering if Fox may pull another TERRA NOVA and unceremoniously cancel the series before they get a chance to write a satisfying season finale. However, at Wondercon 2012, FRINGE executive producers J.H. Wyman and Jeff Pinkner revealed that it’s still a possibility that a Season 5 will happen. “I think we’re 70/30 that the show is coming back,” says Pinkner. “We’re inside of it and we’re very hopeful, but those odds may be skewered by our own aspirations.” For Wyman, he says that nothing is ever set in stone, […]Read On »

What do we associate most closely with March 17, known for centuries as St. Patrick’s Day? Why, horror movies about leprechauns, of course. Syfy Channel is obliging this tradition with its original movie LEPRECHAUN’S REVENGE, which premieres Saturday night at 9 PM. The telefilm, directed by Drew Daywalt (ABSENTIA) and written by Anthony C. Ferrante (BOO), stars William Devane and Billy Zane as father and son, Pop O’Hara and Sheriff Conor O’Hara, who wind up combating the homicidal Celtic creature. Devane, born in Albany, New York, began his acting career on stage and debuted on Broadway in THE WATERING PLACE. […]Read On »

Stars: Jason Issacs, Laura Allen, Dylan Minnette, Cherry Jones, Steve Harris, Wilmer Valderrama, BD Wong Writer: Howard Gordon & Evan Katz Director: Jeffrey Reiner Network: NBC, airs Thursday nights Original Telecast: March 15, 2012 I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when when I heard about the premise to AWAKE and how it was going to be able to sustain itself, in two different realities, week after week. Yet, here we are in Week 3, and the show continues to stay on the right path. It’s complicated, complex, but thoroughly engaging with a plot device that brings its […]Read On »
