The Annual William S. Paley Television Festival (PaleyFest2011) started off this year with the cast and creative forces of  THE WALKING DEAD, on March 4th. The PaleyFest is being held at The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills again this year. Fans were treated to a viewing of an episode and then an interactive panel discussion with the cast and creative team of the show presented that night. Breaking News: Yes, it’s true! Charlie Sheen Fired from TWO AND A HALF MEN!

Not surprising, and nearly two weeks of Charlie Sheen “winning” with his bizarro publicity road show to ruin (including interviews, a new Twitter feed, his own webcast), Warner Bros. Television has finally fired the actor from its TWO AND HALF MEN series. In a statement released by Warner Bros. Television today, they said: “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately.” Will the show now be renamed ONE AND HALF MEN, will they bring in a new actor, or will the show be canceled outright? New THOR poster revealed

First Paramount released new stills from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, and now they’ve released two posters for the new THOR movie from Marvel Studios hitting theaters May 6 which stars Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, Natalie Portman as his love interest and Anthony Hopkins as a his Daddy. Steven S. DeKnight is a man best known to fans for shows like SMALLVILLE, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, and most recently SPARTACUS (in it’s many forms). DeKnight also contributed to the BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER SEASON EIGHT comic book series from Dark Horse Comics, with a story about Vampy Cat toys and vampires in the mainstream. Yes, 3D has finally come to a Galaxy far, far away with LucasFilm finally post-converting the first film in his STAR WARS saga into that format. STAR WARS: EPISODE I – THE PHANTOM MENACE has set the date of February 10, 2012 for this huge event, which will once again introduce a whole new generation to the theatrical experience of this venerable franchise. Diane Lane cast as Martha Kent in new SUPERMAN movie

Warner Bros. just announced that actress Diane Lane will be cast as Martha Kent in the new SUPERMAN movie reboot directed by Zack Snyder. In the press release, Snyder notes, “This was a very important piece of casting for me because Martha Kent is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as Superman. On Saturday February 26th, Barnes and Noble hosted a special signing of TRUE BLOOD: VOLUME 1 – ALL TOGETHER NOW comic book compilation. Fans lined the 3rd floor, with books in hand to get an autograph from the stars.
