Exclusive Photos: From the RIO Los Angeles Premiere

Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios held the Los Angeles Premiere of RIO at the Grauman’s Mann Chinese Theater on April10th in Hollywood. Back in February, ASSIGNMENT X ran the RIO SNEAK BEAK EVENT (CLICK HERE) that was held on the FOX Studio Lot to announce the tie-in with the movie and ANGRY BIRDS. Michael Shannon hired for SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL to play General Zod

Now that the heroes have almost all been cast for the new Superman movie reboot MAN OF STEEL (which is what Warner Bros. is now officially calling the film ), it’s time to move on to casting the villains. Today, Warner Bros. announced that REVOLUTIONARY ROAD and HBO’s BOARDWALK EMPIRE star Michael Shannon will take on the role of General Zod originally made famous by Terence Stamp in Richard Donner’s 1978 original SUPERMAN and 1981’s SUPERMAN II. First Look Photos of new FRIGHT NIGHT remake starring Colin Farrell

The remake of the 1985 horror/comedy film FRIGHT NIGHT hits theaters August 19, but DreamWorks just released these first look photos from the movie. The remake stays true to the original when an all-American boy Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin) discovers his next door neighbor Jerry Dandrige (Colin Farrell) is a vampire. To help him, Charley calls on Vegas showman Peter Vincent (David Tennant) to help him put a stake in Dandrige’s evil plans. Tri Star Pictures and ,held the Los Angeles World Premiere of SOUL SURFER at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome on March 30th. The carpet and backdrop was blue like the ocean with a spot that had sand and surfboards.  SOUL SURFER is the true story of teen surfer Bethany Hamilton (portrayed by AnnaSophia Robb), who lost her arm in a shark attack. The popular The CW series SUPERNATURAL is going to get Anime-ted with a brand new 22-episode series due out on Blu-ray on July 26, 2011. Dubbed SUPERNATURAL: THE ANIME SERIES, it finds  The Winchester Brothers Sam and Dean on slightly alternate adventures that tie into the first two seasons of the popular series. Renowned Anime studio Madhouse has created this new universe which will feature 22 episodes.
