Exclusive Interview: THE GOLDBERGS star George Segal flashes back to the ’80s

ABC has just picked up its freshman half-hour comedy THE GOLDBERGS, Tuesday nights at 9 PM, for a full season. Set in the mid-1980s, the show is based on the real-life adventures of series creator Adam F. Goldberg, then an eleven-year-old budding filmmaker (played by Sean Giambrone) who drove his family crazy by following them around with a huge video camera (the real-life footage can be seen at the ends of each episode). In Lifetime’s new series WITCHES OF EAST END, Sundays at 10 PM, Madchen Amick plays Wendy Beauchamp, one of the title characters. The playful Wendy, who has nine lives and can shapeshift into a black cat, senses danger for her more straitlaced sister Joanna (Julia Ormond). Paramount Pictures recently held the Los Angeles Premiere of JACKASS PRESENTS: BAD GRANDPA at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Fans were across from where I was and the electronic press, besides lining the streets of Hollywood. Before the stars arrived girls dressed as Candy Stripers in a white and red uniforms carrying candy trays walked the carpet and gave none of us candy! Bringing out this beanbag-throwing thing with a hole in it the Candy Stripers entertained themselves throwing beanbags through the hole. These were set up in various places.
