TV News: DOWNTON ABBEY not to air at same time in U.S. on PBS as in UK

So it looks as if the American audience for DOWNTON ABBEY is going to have to be patient to see the next season in January again. While promoting SHAKESPEARE UNCOVERED, actor Jeremy Irons made some quite hilarious comments about the popular British series DOWNTON ABBEY. Now, the prequel THE CARRIE DIARIES is landing at The CW this winter based on the Candace Bushnell book and focusing on Carrie Bradshaw’s high school years. News: The CW gives the scoop on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES spin-off THE ORIGINALS – TCA 2013

It was recently announced that The CW is creating a spin-off to their popular THE VAMPIRE DIARIES series and now The CW President Mark Pedowitz has revealed some more details about what will be called THE ORIGINALS. The 2009 Stephen King novel UNDER THE DOME is getting the TV treatment as a scripted series on CBS which is set to air this summer. Thirteen episodes will be produced and it’s part of CBS’s strategy to have high-profile scripted fare on in the summer as well.
