The last network to be a part of this year’s 2011 PALEYFEST FALL TV PREVIEW was FOX on September 12, at The Paley Center For Media in Beverly Hills. In the CW’s new series RINGER, premiering tonight at 9 PM, Sarah Michelle Gellar (of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) makes her long-awaited return to TV in a dual role. Gellar plays both the devious, wealthy Siobhan and her twin sister, downtrodden prostitute Bridget, who winds up assuming Siobhan’s identity. Ioan Gruffudd  (pronounced YO-an GRUFF-uth) plays Siobhan’s husband Andrew, who has quite a few secrets of his own. It’s always tough to hear about the passing of an actor from a beloved TV series or movie, but when that person is as young as Andy Whitfield, it makes things all the more tragic. The 39-year old actor best known for playing Spartacus in the hit Starz series SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma cancer 18 months ago which delayed the start of Season 2 of the series.
