MTV’s TEEN WOLF, airing Mondays at 10 PM, is a much more dangerous, sexy and scary take on its subject matter than its title (borrowed from an 1980s Michael J. Fox vehicle) might suggest. Tyler Posey plays Scott McCall, a small-town high school student whose life is turned upside-down in ways both wonderful and terrifying when he is bitten by a strange creature and subsequently becomes a werewolf, with all the strength, heightened senses and moon-influenced bloodlust that comes with the curse. TEEN WOLF has become extremely popular in its first season and is already renewed for a second. Part […]Read On »

Movie Review: CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE

Rating: PG-13 Stars: Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Jonah Bobo, John Carroll Lynch, Marisa Tomei, Kevin Bacon Writer: Dan Fogelman Directors: Glenn Ficarra & John Fuqua Distributor: Warner Bros. Release Date: July 29, 2011 Let’s begin by saying some good things about CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE. It has a top-notch cast and the screenplay by Dan Fogelman is mostly well-structured, except for one whopping pivotal issue that is never satisfactorily explained. However, the film bogs down in its details (and lack thereof) and the growing realization that we don’t particularly like or believe in any of the characters. […]Read On »

While speaking with NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt at this summer’s 2011 TCA, ASSIGNMENT X asked about the status of THE EVENT wrap-up movie. However, Greenblatt is quick to point out that THE EVENT, if it does get this last-minute reprise, will not air on NBC. “If it happens, it would definitely be […]Read On »
