First Look: MEN IN BLACK 3 teaser trailer goes back in time

It’s been ten years since Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones put on their suits and fought aliens, now they’re back in black with MEN IN BLACK 3 directed by Barry Sonnenfeld (who helmed the previous films). The new trailer just hit the web which incorporates time travel into the mix and a young 1969 version of Jones’ Agent K played by Josh Brolin. COHEN: I think if you look at all of Dick Donner’s movies, it’s verisimilitude, which is “the truth.” That’s his thing. It’s written on the wall in his office. With Donner’s movies, whether it’s SUPERMAN or GOONIES or OMEN, you have a fantastic situation of people behaving how you would behave if you got this crazy treasure map or this guy could fly or maybe the kid is the son of Satan. Movie Review: TRUE GRIT

Sometimes more of a good thing is just great, which is the case with the Coen Brothers’ (Ethan & Joel) remake of TRUE GRIT. The 1969 original, based on Charles Portis’ novel, won an Oscar for John Wayne as Rooster Cogburn, a one-eyed, alcoholic U.S. marshal who reluctantly takes up the quest of tracking down the man who murdered the father of fourteen-year-old Mattie Ross (Kim Darby in that version) – with Mattie doggedly accompanying him.
