GRAND HOTEL: Justina Adorno on the new ABC summer drama – Exclusive Interview

In ABC’s new Monday-night drama GRAND HOTEL, a blended family is not necessarily a happy family. Santiago Mendoza (Demian Bichir) has married Gigi (Rosalyn Sanchez), best friend of his late wife Beatriz (Eva Longoria, who is also one of GRAND HOTEL’s executive producers). Santiago has two adult children, ambitious aspiring hotelier Alicia (Denyse Tontz) and playboy Javi (Bryan Craig). Gigi has fraternal twin daughters from a previous marriage. ABC’s new drama GRAND HOTEL, debuting Monday, June 17, is based on the Spanish series GRAN HOTEL. The original has been remade in a number of other countries around the globe, including Italy, Mexico, and Egypt. The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) held their annual Installation Luncheon on August 13th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. This luncheon is to introduce the new officers and directors and the HFPA presented $1.6 million dollars in financial grants to film schools and non-profits and scholarship programs due to the success of the Golden Globes in January of this year.
