While The CW has made its mark with SUPERNATURAL and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and found great success with their genre-bending formulas, they really haven’t proven to be the heir to the BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER teen angst throne that Joss Whedon created so expertly on that landmark series. EARTHSEED novel plants TWILIGHT Melissa Rosenberg to write and produce

Paramount Pictures may have let the TWILIGHT saga slip through their fingers (D’oh), but they’ve learned their lesson and have optioned the novel EARTHSEED by Pamela Sargent and have landed TWILIGHT scribe Melissa Rosenberg to write and produce. Aliens seem to really like to target Earth for invasion. From the reptilian baddies from V, the human ship suckers in SKYLINE and the straight-out annihilators in BATTLE: LA, it’s been a pretty brutal battle between earth vs. the extraterrestrials. It’s a little over one month away before Marvel Studios latest comic book adaptation THOR hits theater screens on May 6 and the latest reveal is the brand new IMAX poster. You can check it out below. THOR stars Chris Hemingsworth as the God of Thunder and Natalie Portman as his love interest. This begins the one-two superhero punch of Marvel big screen characters this summer which follows in July with CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER. Breaking News: Amy Adams to play Lois Lane in SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL

What is it with these big news announcements on Sunday? Oh well, when it comes to SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL, we’ll accept these super news items any time. Looks like THE FIGHTER and ENCHANTED actress will be taking on the role of Lois Lane and it couldn’t be a better choice. She’s got sass and vulnerability which makes her perfect for this Zack Snyder directed reboot. She will star opposite Henry Cavill who plays Clark Kent aka Superman. Source: Hollywood Reporter

Pictures, in association with Legendary Pictures, a Cruel and Unusual Production, and a Zack Snyder film held the Los Angeles World Premiere of SUCKER PUNCH on March 23rd at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Once again it was a rainy night and the press were inside a tent. The black carpet, which had SUCKER PUNCH imprinted on it, was decorated by posters that featured all the stars’ characters and at the end of the carpet was a statue. It’s official – FRINGE renewed for Season 4 and J.J. Abrams speaks

After the Fox series FRINGE was moved to Friday nights earlier this season, it looked as if another season of the strange sci-fi series was a remote possibility at best. However, good news fans – Fox has given the series a fourth season renewal and Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly couldn’t be more enthusiastic about this announcement. “When we moved the show to Fridays, we asked the fans to follow and they did.
