In the first-season finale of MISTRESSES, on ABC Monday September 9 at 9 PM, Rochelle Aytes’ character April Malloy must choose between her husband and her boyfriend, though that’s far from the only crisis facing her and the other three leading ladies, Alyssa Milano as Savi, Yunjin Kim as Karen and Jes Macallan as Joss. In AMC’s LOW WINTER SUN, Sundays at 10 PM, Lennie James plays Detroit police detective Joe Geddes, who persuades fellow homicide investigator Frank Agnew (Mark Strong) to help murder Joe’s detective partner. An attempt to make the death look like a suicide backfires, and there turns out to be a second dead body in the trunk of the victim’s car. In discussing all his new, recent and upcoming projects in a telephone interview, he jokes, “I’m in every movie ever made.” That’s a slight exaggeration, but the Chicago-born actor does have a lengthy resume that includes the two MATRIX sequels, the Oscar-winning RAY, the Shakespeare adaptation TITUS ANDRONICUS, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and this year’s MAN OF STEEL.
