THE ARTIST is a new miniseries that has its premiere on Thursday, November 27, on the new and free streaming platform thenetwork.stream. Created, written and directed by Aram Rappaport (who also founded thenetwork.stream), THE ARTIST combines historical figures and fictional characters in the first decade of the twentieth century. We know at the outset that wealthy Norman Henry, played by Mandy Patinkin, is murdered at a party in his upstate New York mansion. BARRY, HBO’s dark comedy about a hitman who wants to be an actor, returns for its third season on Sunday, April 24. Bill Hader, who co-created BARRY with Alec Berg, stars as the title character. Hader has won two Emmys so far for his portrayal. Barry has been taking classes from acting teacher Gene Cousineau, played by Henry Winkler. HBO’s new series WATCHMEN premieres on Sunday, October 20. Developed for television by Damon Lindelof, WATCHMEN is essentially a sequel to Alan Moore’s 1987 graphic novel of the same name (as with other adaptations of his work, Moore has disavowed the TV follow-up). In WATCHMEN, Moore created an alternate history where Nixon never resigned, and costumed superheroes exist but are outlawed.
