I also felt a little violated as well, since after an episode of “Michael,” the series immediately dived in to another bit of stunt casting with Ricky Martin and the producers promised […]Read On »

TV Review: GLEE – Season 3 – “Michael”

Darren Criss in GLEE - Season 3 - "Michael" | ©2012 Fox/Justin Lubin

Stars: Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Darren Criss, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Heather Morris, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Naya Rivera, Mark Salling, Harry Shum Jr., Jenna Ushkowitz Writer: Ryan Murphy Director: Alfonso Gomez-Rejon Network: Fox, airs Tuesday nights Original Telecast: January 31, 2012 As far as ratings stunts go, “theme episodes” on GLEE are usually pretty impressive ratings getters. They’re also a breeze, writing-wise, since there’s so much effort put into cramming in more than the normal allotment of music in the episode, there’s less time to really flesh out the story elements as well […]Read On »

When AMERICAN HORROR STORY ended Season 1, the big twist wasn’t what happened to the characters, it’s what happened to the show. Executive producer and co-creator Ryan Murphy essentially pulled the wool over the viewers eyes and created a TV series that would reboot every year with a new story,  new characters and a new cast. At today’s TCA press tour for the FX Network, John Landgraf, President & General Manager, says that he’s excited by what Murphy is conjuring up for the completely different Season 2. “He really loves to create a new world,” says Landgraf. “You even saw […]Read On »

In […]Read On »

Exclusive Interview: Denis O’Hare terrorizes AMERICAN HORROR STORY

Denis O'Hare in AMERICAN HORROR STORY - Season 1 - "Halloween Pt. 2" | ©2011 FX/Ray Mickshaw

There are a plenty of ghosts and generally unwholesome entities roaming through FX’s hit AMERICAN HORROR STORY, Wednesdays at 10, but one of the most alarming-looking characters is the still-living Larry Harvey, played by Denis O’Hare. With severe burns over half his face, a fire-crippled body and a sightless eye, Larry’s appearance isn’t half as frightening as his personality – he’s a man who can justify anything if it suits his ego or his appetites. This isn’t O’Hare’s first brush with TV genre fame – he was also the vampire King of Mississippi, Russell Edgington, in Season Three of HBO’s […]Read On »
