Blu-ray Review: BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER – SEASON 8 MOTION COMIC

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER - Season 8 motion comic DVD | &Copy 2011 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment

Ever since BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER went off the air, there’s been a hole in fans hearts hoping for a resurrection (and the movie reboot without creator Joss Whedon is not it).

However, the BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER comic book that has been “executive produced” and periodically written by Whedon himself over the last four years as SEASON 8 and it’s been an absolute joy. It’s brought back the universe we all loved with the correct voice and tone. There’s been death and surprises along the way and it truly is the next best thing to having a Season 8 back on television.

CD Review: POLTERGEIST Special Edition (10,000 Edition) soundtrack

Poltergeist (c) 2010 Film Score Monthly

Certainly one of the loudest, and most exciting horror scores belongs inside the television set of the Freeling family, as installed by Jerry Goldsmith. Though a master of just about every movie genre, horror had provided a creatively malefic voice for Goldsmith. He’d marry Bartok-esque impressionism and old scratch violins for THE MEPHISTO WALTZ, blow on MAGIC’s unbalanced harmonicas and win his only Oscar for chanting THE OMEN’s black mass.

Exclusive Interview: EXAM director Stuart Hazeldine Talks About the Ultimate Job Interview

EXAM is a unique sort of science fiction film. Taking place completely in one room and relying on the drama and tension to unfold, the movie has no special effects, no fancy props, yet still feels as if we are watching the ultimate job interview some time when things have gone horribly wrong in the future.

Exclusive Interview: THE DUKES OF HAZZARD star James Best gets animated about the 1980s cartoon spin-off THE DUKES

THE DUKES DVD | ©2010 Warner Bros.

THE DUKES OF HAZZARD was one of the most popular prime-time series on CBS in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, but many people forget that there was a short-lived Hanna-Barbera spin-off called THE DUKES featuring the same characters, same voices, but animated instead of live action. Instead of being set in Hazzard county, the animated series followed Bo, Luke and Daisy in a race around the world with Boss Hogg and Rosco in an attempt to save their family farm. James Best, who played the dim-witted (and somewhat corrupt) Rosco P. Coltrane reprised his role with this off-shoot and […]Read On »
