Exclusive: SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE creator Steven S. DeKnight gives the scoop on the new season

While at the 37th Annual Saturn Awards Thursday night, ASSIGNMENT X caught up with SPARTACUS creator and executive producer Steven S. DeKnight who filled us in on how filming for SPARTACUS: VENGEANCE is going in this exclusive interview. “We’re shooting Episode 5, so we’re almost halfway done,” he reveals. “Obviously, it has a lot of the same feel, but the stories are much, much bigger. Winners for the 37th Annual Saturn Awards presented by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films were handed out last night at the Castaway in Burbank, CA. For movies, INCEPTION was the big winner (taking home Best Scieince Fiction film, Best Writer and Best Director (for Christopher Nolan), while FRINGE was the big TV winner (it took home Best Network TV series, while John Noble nabbed Best Supporting Actor On TV and Anna Torv took home Best Actress on TV). Disney•Pixar held the World Premiere of CARS 2 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on June 18th. Hollywood Boulevard was transformed into the World Grand Prix between Highland and Orange. Life-Size remote-controlled cars of Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile came down the black carpet, which looked like a racetrack.
