CBS Films held the U.S. Premiere of SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN on Monday 5th, at the Directors Guild of American. SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN is the story about a visionary sheik (Amr Waked) that has a dream to bring salmon fishing to the desert. Instructing his representative Harriet (Emily Blunt) to make his dream come true. Ewan McGregor portrays Dr. Alfred Jones, a leading Fisheries expert. Unfortunately, he happens to think the project is absurd and unachievable. The Doctors might change every season or other, but we can be thankful that Murray Gold has been riding the Time Lord’s T.A.R.D.I.S. since his first, revamped regeneration. In the process, the new “Who”’s music has constantly impressed with its sheer, giddy sense of invention and production value, qualities that quickly impressed even a non-acolyte like myself. After major delays to the long-awaited reboot of THE LONE RANGER franchise, Walt Disney Pictures just released this cool new image from the Gore Verbinski directed film. Armie Hammer (THE SOCIAL NETWORK) plays John Reid, the masked man, while Johnny Depp is his sidekick Tonto. Should be interesting to see how this turns out.
