AWAKE, which has its series finale tonight on NBC, has been a fascinating mixture of procedural and what-if. Creator Kyle Killen’s story posits that, following a horrific car accident, LAPD homicide detective Mike Britten, played by Jason Isaacs, wakes up from one reality into another.
