Michael McMillian on TRUE BLOOD Season 5 | (c) 2012 John P. Johnson/HBO

Michael McMillian’s life is full of TRUE BLOOD. The Kansas-born actor has played the originally anti-vampire Reverend Steve Newlin in every season of the HBO hit series, which has its fifth-season finale this Sunday at 9 PM (never fear, it’s coming back for Season Six next year). Steve has gone through quite a transformation, showing up on the doorstep of human Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) at the end of Season Four sprouting fangs and this season becoming both the spokesman for the Vampire Authority and the good pal of holy terror ancient vampire Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare). In his off-screen […]Read On »

Dylan O'Brien, Crystal Reed, Tyler Posey and JR Bourne in TEEN WOLF - Season 2 - "Master Plan" | ©2012 MTV

TEEN WOLF ended season 2 with another slam-bang ending. Many things were resolved, but it also set the stage for Season 3. Some of the more significant things we learned: 1) The villains for part of Season 2 will be an “Alpha Pack” made of some pretty badass werewolves. 2) Gerard (Michael Hogan) has been dying of cancer and was hoping to become a werewolf himself to live on – but he was tricked by Scott (Tyler Posey), so even though he’s still alive after getting the curse, what exactly that means for him is a mystery. 3) Jackson (Colton […]Read On »

Interview: THE NEWSROOM’s Alan Poul Provides Insight into Season 1

Jeff Daniles in THE NEWSROOM | (c) 2012 Melissa Moseley/HBO

Created by Aaron Sorkin, THE NEWSROOM is set at a fictional cable news network, but the stories it deals with – theLouisiana oil spill, the killing of Osama bin Laden – are real. Jeff Daniels stars as news anchor Will McAvoy, who goes from bland to searingly opinionated in the opening episode, with Emily Mortimer as Mackenzie MacHale, his former lover and current producer, and Sam Waterston as their boss. The series airs Sundays at 10 PM, with the season finale airing August 26; the show has already been picked up for a second year. Alan Poul, one of NEWSROOM’s […]Read On »
