In ABC’s new hit series REVENGE, Wednesdays at 10 PM, Emily VanCamp plays Emily Thorne, who returns under an assumed identity to the upscale community in the Hamptons where she lived as a child. Emily’s goal is to get revenge (see the title) on the people who sent her beloved father to jail for life and ruined her younger years. There’s plenty of collateral damage, but Emily’s principal target is Madeleine Stowe’s character Victoria Grayson, who rules the enclave as its unofficially anointed queen. Stowe, a Los Angeles native, had audiences swooning as the heroine in LAST OF THE MOHICANS. […]Read On »

Stars: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Sean Owen Roberts Writers: Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming, series created by Eric Kripke Director: Phil Sgriccia Network: The CW, Fridays @ 9 PM Original Telecast: October 21, 2011 When supernatural shows that are usually dark with hints of humor decide to be lighthearted without committing to going gonzo, the results are usually lightweight. That’s in one way the case with SUPERNATURAL’s episode “Shut Up, Dr. Phil,” but on the other hand, anything that brings together BUFFY and ANGEL alumni James Marsters (Spike) and Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) automatically has worthwhile qualities. TV Review: TERRA NOVA – Season 1 – “The Runaway”

Christine Adams in TERRA NOVA - Season 1 - "The Runaway" | ©2011 Fox/Brook Rushton

Cast: Jason O’Mara, Christine Adams, Byron Brockmann, Shelly Conn, Stephan Lang, Simone Kessell, Landon Liborion, Allison Miller Director: Jon Cassar Writers: Barbara Marshall Network: Airs on Fox, Mondays @ 8pm Original Telecast: Oct. 17, 201 So, hey, when are we getting some dinosaurs in your dinosaur TV show? TERRA NOVA was billed as a JURASSIC PARK meets LOST with a dash of AVATAR, yet for the most part this show has been dinosaur-free instead focusing on lame storylines involving the Shannon family, troubles teens have with girls (and boys), rebellious moonshine making other teens and a whole host of plotlines […]Read On »

OK maybe that’s a bit harsh. Much like the special effects, the storylines in […]Read On »

Exclusive Interview: Stephen Lang lands on TERRA NOVA

Stephen Lang in TERRA NOVA - Season 1 | ©2011 Fox/Michael Lavine

The characters in TERRA NOVA, which airs on Fox Mondays at 8 PM, have it rough. They’ve left behind the crowded, airless, polluted world of 2049 for the environs of Earth, circa 80 million years BC. There is fresh air and plentiful food, but there are also people-eating dinosaurs, power struggles and a supremely tough military man in charge, Commander Nathaniel Taylor, played by Stephen Lang. Lang (should anyone need reminding) also played badass baddie Col. Miles Quaritch in AVATAR, the most successful motion picture ever made. He was also the villain in this year’s remake of CONAN THE BARBARIAN, a […]Read On »
