Exclusive Interview: Yes, DEADPOOL will still happen with Ryan Reynolds in the lead

While speaking about the new X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Blu-ray and DVD hitting stores this Friday, September 9, ASSIGNMENT X spoke with producer Lauren Shuler-Donner about the franchise (click here for the full interview) and the status of THE WOLVERINE sequel (click here). At a press event on the 20th Century Fox lot today, producer Lauren Shuler-Donner presided over a presentation of all the special features to be found on the new X-MEN: FIRST CLASS Blu-ray hitting stories this Friday, September 9. The bonus content includes the expected deleted and extended scenes and making-of featurettes on making the prequel/reboot to the X-MEN franchise. Additionally, the Blu-ray also includes 10 free digital X-MEN comic books and an interactive feature that takes you inside the mutant tracker system Cerebro. With Zack Snyder directing and Christopher Nolan producing, excitement for the new Superman movie reboot MAN OF STEEL couldn’t be higher. Then, Warner Bros. sneaks this first look of actor Henry Cavill as Superman, and well, it’s pretty freakin’ cool. The ghost of Christopher Reeve and near lookalike Brandon Routh is giving way for a more modern caped crusader. This one is a kind of a no-brainer, but for anyone wondering if the Spider-Man character would ever appear in a future THE AVENGERS team-up movie, don’t hold your breath. First of all, even though Marvel (and now Disney) owns the character, it’s currently licensed to Sony Pictures, which makes it harder to extract him for a movie at another studio.
