Zachary Levi became known and beloved for his five years on NBC’s CHUCK as the title character, who went from humble tech repair guy to superspy, thanks to a government implant in his brain. Levi’s experiences with CHUCK fandom were so positive that he founded the Nerd Machine, which produces the annual event Nerd HQ. He’s also starred as the singing voice of the male lead in Disney’s animated Rapunzel tale TANGLED. Now Levi is back at NBC as Luke Collins in HEROES REBORN, Thursdays at 8 PM. The original HEROES, created by Tim Kring (who is also the guiding […]Read On »

The first season started out really good with a solid message (“Save the cheerleader, save the world”), interesting characters, a slick comic book come to life appeal and plotlines that while at times bogged down, at least furthered the narrative. Season 1 shined when the show focused specifically […]Read On »

HEROES REBORN: Jack Coleman give the scoop on Season 1 – exclusive interview

Jack Coleman stars as Noah Bennett/HRG in HEROES REBORN | © 2015 Christos Kalohoridis/NBC

For four seasons, Jack Coleman played Noah Bennet, aka HRG (short for “Horn-Rimmed Glasses”) or “the man with the plan,” on NBC’s HEROES. Noah, adoptive father of the indestructible cheerleader Claire (played by Hayden Panettiere, now a regular on NASHVILLE), was an operative of a shadowy agency that co-opted people with superpowers. However, fatherly loyalty won out with Noah – usually. It was always hard to be sure of his motives, which was one of the things that made him such a memorable character. Pennsylvania native Coleman was a standout member of the large HEROES cast. His earlier career included […]Read On »

In NBC’s THE SLAP, Thursdays at 10 PM, a family get-together in Brooklyn erupts when the father of one little boy slaps another child, not his own, for recklessly waving around a baseball bat. The incident has long-lasting repercussions. The eight-part miniseries, adapted by Jon Robin Baitz and Walter F. Parkes from an Australian miniseries that was in turn based on a novel by Christos Tsiolkas, shows each episode from a different character’s point of view. Zachary Quinto (Mr. Spock in the new STAR TREK films and Sylar on NBC’s HEROES) had coincidentally just produced the nonfiction series THE CHAIR, […]Read On »

Walt Disney Studios held the U.S. Premiere of MARVEL’S THOR: THE DARK WORLD not so long ago. I’m sorry Assignment X readers that this is late going up, but I had computer problems, which is now fixed, so I hope you still enjoy seeing everything. Unfortunately, Nathan Fillion walked half of the carpet, then went and posed with Zachary Levi and Tom Hiddleston and decided not to walk the rest of the carpet and wouldn’t stop no matter how loud everyone yelled Nathan. Of course, I was at the end where he didn’t pose. The premiere was held at the […]Read On »
