Rating: R Stars: Sharlto Copley, Danila Kozlovsky, Haley Bennett, Tim Roth, Andrei Dimentiev Writer: Illya Naishuller Director: Illya Naishuller Distributor: STX Entertainment Release Date: April 8, 2016 Even viewers who came unscathed through the camera moves of, for instance, THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and CLOVERFIELD may exit HARDCORE HENRY feeling like they’re disembarking from a rough ocean voyage. The film was shot with body-cam and handheld GoPros to emulate the p.o.v. of a first-person shooter. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Walton Goggins, Demian Bichir, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Bruce Dern, James Parks, Channing Tatum Writer: Quentin Tarantino Director: Quentin Tarantino Distributor: The Weinstein Co. Release Date: December 25, 2015 There are a lot of clashes of sensibilities on display in writer/director Quentin Tarantino’s eighth feature film, THE HATEFUL EIGHT. Part of the movie is a big-screen, wide open spaces epic that, in its 70mm road show format, is almost literally breathtaking in its stark beauty. Another big part of the movie is a kind of Agatha Christie one-room murder […]Read On »

Yes, this is the season finale of LIE TO ME, and I know the rumor mill has this being LIE TO ME’s series finale (and trust me, it is). So with that knowledge, it’s pretty insulting that the best they could do is shamelessly ride the coattails of THE SOCIAL NETWORK by giving us “Killer App.”

Although LIE TO ME, which stars Tim Roth, has been a solid performer by Fox, it’s fate is still on the bubble according to Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly. “I like to believe there’s more upside to LIE TO ME,” he said while speaking at today’s Fox Winter TCA tour in Pasadena, CA. “It’s delivered a very loyal audience. When we stumbled with LONE STAR, it came in cold [into the Monday night timeslot].” The big problem, according to Reilly, is the wealth of good material on the network and the lack of time slots moving into the fall. “We […]Read On »

And finally, your brand new pop cultural destination ASSIGNMENT X nabbed our first big scoop – LIE TO ME star Tim Roth wanted to speak with us about the show […]Read On »
