EDITOR’S NOTE: There have been some questions about one of the quotes in this interview. We have checked the interview tape and it turns out we missed an “if.” We have corrected the quote.  Where there are superheroes, there must be a supervillain. In writer/director Joss Whedon’s film THE AVENGERS, that supervillain is Loki, an extraterrestrial played by Tom Hiddleston, who tries to enslave the Earth with the help of a mysterious but extremely violent alien race. Hiddleston, who hails from London, England, originated the role of the adopted brother of the mighty Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, in 2011’s THOR. […]Read On »

At various times, Lester and his now-reformed erstwhile partner-in-crime Jeff, played by Scott Krinsky, have staged rebellions, tried to blow up the Buy More and formed the two-man band Jeffster. This season, Lester has gone to jail for trying to poison Jeff back to his old weird […]Read On »

First Look Image of Henry Cavill as Superman in MAN OF STEEL

With Zack Snyder directing and Christopher Nolan producing, excitement for the new Superman movie reboot MAN OF STEEL couldn’t be higher. Then, Warner Bros. sneaks this first look of actor Henry Cavill as Superman, and well, it’s pretty freakin’ cool. The ghost of Christopher Reeve and near lookalike Brandon Routh is giving way for a more modern caped crusader. The movie opens June 14, 2013 – so we have a long time to wait before fanboy nirvana (or exhaustion hits), but for now, nicely done.   AGREE? DISAGREE? LET US KNOW HOW YOU FEEL – COMMENT BELOW! Composer Interview: Henry Jackman marks the spot for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

Composer Henry Jackman | ©2011 Henry Jackman

As cool as it is to have your music pumping the extra kick-ass mile into the hugely enjoyable antics of non-powered, wannabe superheroes, there’s nothing quite like getting your musical mutant on by graduating to the big leagues of X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, a score that marks a huge evolution for composer Henry Jackman. Starting his career as an innovator in England’s electronica world, Jackman’s equally impressive string arrangements for album producer Trevor Horn drew the attention of Hans Zimmer, a composer with the Magneto-like powers of irresistibly pulling in promising talent to his lair at Remote Control. It wasn’t long […]Read On »
