Now that the heroes have almost all been cast for the new Superman movie reboot MAN OF STEEL (which is what Warner Bros. is now officially calling the film ), it’s time to move on to casting the villains. WonderCon 2011: DC Comics unveils plans for RETRO ACTIVE comic books

After the DC Nation panel during WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco on Friday, the editors, writers and artists from the publisher announced that they will be rolling out a new series of comics under the label of RETRO ACTIVE. This will include ’70s, ’80s and ’90s versions of the Flash, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Justice League of America and Green Lantern. These comics will be written by classic writers and artists that will return to the interpretations that they were best known for. The new Greek Gods action film IMMORTALS previewed the new character posters from the film at WonderCon 2011 in San Francisco today. Breaking News: Amy Adams to play Lois Lane in SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL

What is it with these big news announcements on Sunday? Oh well, when it comes to SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL, we’ll accept these super news items any time. Looks like THE FIGHTER and ENCHANTED actress will be taking on the role of Lois Lane and it couldn’t be a better choice. She’s got sass and vulnerability which makes her perfect for this Zack Snyder directed reboot. She will star opposite Henry Cavill who plays Clark Kent aka Superman. Source: Hollywood Reporter

The Zack Snyder directed SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL movie added another person to its cast according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER – Kevin Costner. The actor will play Jonathan Kent, Clark Kent’s adoptive father. Costner will play opposite Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel himself while Diane Lane will be Martha Kent. Warner Bros. just announced that actress Diane Lane will be cast as Martha Kent in the new SUPERMAN movie reboot directed by Zack Snyder.
