AMC’s new Monday night ten-part series THE TERROR is based on a novel by Dan Simmons, which is in turn based on real events. In 1848, two British Navy vessels, The Terror and The Erebus, voyaged towards the Arctic in search of the then-undiscovered Northwest Passage. The ships became trapped in the ice. It wasn’t incompetent, but it seemed to suffer from an internal struggle, wanting to be a movie, but clinging to its less plot-and-character-driven roots. Now HITMAN: AGENT 47 is here.
