TORONTO — After ten days and over 300 films several awards were passed out. Here are the highlights and the TIFF winners 2014. THE PRIZES OF THE INTERNATIONAL CRITICS (FIPRESCI PRIZES) The Festival welcomed an international FIPRESCI jury for the 23rd year. The jury members consisted of jury president Dana Linssen (Netherlands), Marco Lombardi (Italy), Ola Salwa (Poland), Télesphore Mba Bizo (Cameroun), Jorge Gutman (Canada) and Thom Ernst (Canada). The 2014 edition of the Toronto International Film Festival will go down in history as the year of the actor. With the absence of breakout films like last years mighty duo, GRAVITY and 12 YEARS A SLAVE, critics and audiences dug deeper and ended up focusing on the actors.
