TCA 2011: Fox says it would like to see more BONES beyond Season 7

At today’s Summer 2011 Television Critics Association press tour, Fox’s Entertainment President Kevin Reilly spoke about how proud he was with their Thursday night staple BONES and would love to see it continue well into Season 8 and beyond. “The producers and I would like to keep it going,” says Reilly. “And FINDER [its spin-off] is off to a great start. With Zack Snyder directing and Christopher Nolan producing, excitement for the new Superman movie reboot MAN OF STEEL couldn’t be higher. Then, Warner Bros. sneaks this first look of actor Henry Cavill as Superman, and well, it’s pretty freakin’ cool. The ghost of Christopher Reeve and near lookalike Brandon Routh is giving way for a more modern caped crusader. 20TH Century Fox held the Los Angeles Premiere of RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES on July 28th at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Fans lined the street, which was not closed off. So when the stars walked across the street to sign autographs they had to stop the traffic. The fans screamed very loudly for James Franco, Tom Felton and Rupert Grint. Three out of the four acts picked tonight on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT Quarter-Finals – Hollywood Week 4 were no big surprise. Team Illuminate, Fatally Unique and Zuma Zuma were as sure a thing as anything can be. What was surprising was that Yellow Designs Stunt Team didn’t make it and comedian Melissa Villasenor did make it. TCA 2011: NBC reveals the status of THE EVENT wrap-up movie

While speaking with NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt at this summer’s 2011 TCA, ASSIGNMENT X asked about the status of THE EVENT wrap-up movie. Although things aren’t set in stone, Greenblatt does hint that a final decision about its ultimate fate could be decided quite soon. “It’s been discussed with Syfy and a few weeks ago it seemed more possible than it does today, but I honestly don’t know,” says Greenblatt. With CBS and ABC shuddering their long-running soaps, NBC is still fully committed to its daytime soap warhorse DAYS OF OUR LIVES. “It’s the only soap we have and I think it does relatively well for us,” NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt at today’s 2011 Summer TCA press session. TCA 2011: NBC Chairman is confident THE PLAYBOY CLUB won’t be boycotted by any other affiliates

With NBC’s Utah affiliate KSL refusing to air NBC’s new period drama THE PLAYBOY CLUB, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said today at NBC’s Summer TCA session that he doesn’t anticipate any other affiliate stations dropping out before the show debuts in the fall. “I think every other affiliate will be airing the show and are on board,” says Greenblatt. “I guess I wasn’t completely surprised.
