CBS’s new series CHAOS, premiering tonight at 8 PM, is a comedy/drama about a team of CIA spies, fighting both terrorists and bureaucracy. The title refers not only to the general conditions under which the team works, but also to the acronym for their unit, Clandestine Administration and Oversight Services. The group consists of paranoid tactical whiz Michael Dorset (Eric Close), mellow-seeming but deadly Casey Malick (Tim Blake Nelson), newcomer Rick Martinez (Freddy Rodriguez) and U.K. import Billy Collins, played by James Murray, who previously spent two seasons battling dinosaurs as Stephen Hart on the BBC’s PRIMEVAL. Exclusive Interview: CAMELOT star Joseph Fiennes finds the magic in Merlin

Joseph Fiennes in CAMELOT - Season 1 | ©2010 KA PRODUCTIONS LTD / T5 Camelot Productions Inc.

It’s safe to say that Starz’s new series CAMELOT, premiering Friday night at 10 PM, is much less like the musical and more like the 1981 John Boorman feature film EXCALIBUR, or indeed like Starz’s blood-and-sex-drenched series SPARTACUS. Show runner/executive producer Chris Chibnall has brought forth a take on the famous British legend with plenty of darkness and detail. The wizard Merlin is played by Joseph Fiennes, famous to film audiences as the Bard in SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE and most recently on television as the lead in FLASHFORWARD. Interview: THE LINCOLN LAWYER composer Cliff Martinez lays down the law

Composer Cliff Martinez

If there’s a rhythm of the heat to the underworld, and those legally profiting from it, then it would likely be the sound of Cliff Martinez’s undulating, darkly ethereal beats. It’s a dangerous vibe caught between sinister grooves and the existential feel of psyches caught in a moral morass- almost as if Martinez was hearing them trying to swim to redemption- whether they be a revenge-consumed LIMEY, the guilt-riddled cops of NARC and VICE, or the tapestry of drug-affected characters in TRAFFIC. Now Martinez literally picks up that beautifully menacing drive again with THE LINCOLN LAWYER, its passenger’s conflicted soul […]Read On »
