With FRINGE heading into Season 4, ASSIGNMENT X recently spoke with executive producer J.H. Wyman about what to expect with the series return (it premieres tonight on Fox). Thankfully, he doesn’t offer any huge spoilers, but hinted at the direction the series will be going in with the absence of now non-existent Peter (Joshua Jackson) weighing heavily on Walter (John Noble) and Olivia (Anna Torv) as they continue to explore Fringe science (both Over Here and Over There). Here’s what he had to say. ASSIGNMENT X: It’s a given that Peter will be back, correct? J.H. WYMAN: You’re going to […]Read On »

Lionsgate presented a Gotham Group/Vertigo Entertainment/Quick Six Entertainment production, in association with Mango Farms the World Premiere of ABDUCTION at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on September 15th. As usual, fans lined the street and some lucky fans were put near us on the black carpet. Screaming as the stars arrived…the loudest for TWILIGHT heartthrob and star of the movie Taylor Lautner. The next loudest screams were for Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. Justin decided to avoid the carpet and walk directly into the theatre to the disappointment of fans and the press. Selena came on the carpet and posed in […]Read On »

TV Review: THE X FACTOR – SEASON 1 – “Auditions No. 1” – Series Premiere

Steve Jones, Nicole Sherzinger, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid in THE X FACTOR - Season 1 | ©2011 Fox/

Cast: Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Antonio Reid, Cheryl Cole, Nicole Scherzinger Network: Fox, airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays Original Telecast: Sept. 21, 2011 I’ve got a funny feeling going here … Simon Cowell (and his too-tight shirts and new eyeliner) and Paul Abdul (and her crying and weird clapping) doing a music competition/reality show. A bunch of talented singers and a bunch of crazies and losers. Similar audition stories and a pompous host that is more annoying than anything else. But wait … it’s still hot outside? So yeah there are a little too many familiarities to THE X FACTOR […]Read On »

Sarah Michelle Gellar in RINGER - Season 1 - "She's Ruining Everything" | ©2011 The CW/Michael Desmond

Stars: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kristoffer Polaha, Ioan Gruffudd, Nestor Carbonell, Mike Colter, Tara Summers, Zoey Deutch Writers: Eric Charmelo, Nicole Snyder Director: Rob Bailey Network: The CW, airs Tuesday nights Original Telecast: September 20, 2011 Here’s the problem with RINGER, the new CW soap opera/thriller starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as twin sisters who invade each other’s lives. A) It’s not very good. B) As much as it’s commendable that Gellar wants to do something that’s not BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, picking a project where she’s not allowed to kick-ass and take names is incredibly hard to get used to. She […]Read On »

Marlowe Director: Rob Bowman Network: ABC, airs Monday nights Original Telecast: September 19, 2011 When last we left Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) during the Season 3 finale of CASTLE, she’d been shot – presumably by the same cabal behind her mother’s death – with Castle holding her and telling her he loves her. So, obviously, she survives. We knew that going in – although kudos to writer Andrew Marlowe (who created the series) and director Rob Bowman for granting us just a little […]Read On »

The Ten Things We Want to See on CASTLE Season 4

Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion in CASTLE - Season 3 - "To Love and Die in L.A." | ©2010 ABC/Adam Larkey

Tonight we find out if Beckett (Stana Katic) is going to survive the gun shot she took in the final minutes of the Season Three finale of the sometimes dramatic, sometimes funny detective whodunnit series CASTLE featuring author Richard “Rick” Castle (Nathan Fillion) solving crimes with his lady cop inspiration Detective Kate Beckett. Okay, it’s a gimme that Beckett is going to pull through – kinda hard to continue the series if she didn’t. But there was Castle’s declaration of love as he held her in his arms as she slowly passed out. And that kind of got us here […]Read On »
