In Syfy’s new Monday night series THE MAGICIANS, based on the trilogy of novels by Lev Grossman, magic is real. Some, like Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph), study the magical arts at Brakebills University, while others, like Quentin’s lifelong friend Julia (Stella Maeve), learn more dangerously on the street. Magic may help explain how John McNamara, who adapted THE MAGICIANS for television with fellow executive producer Sera Gamble, is working out his schedule. McNamara is also executive-producing NBC’s Sixties-era crime drama AQUARIUS, starring David Duchovny, which will be airing its second season later this year, and discussing the Fifties/Sixties Hollywood blacklist […]Read On »

There is an accompanying caption to the effect of, “If you don’t recognize this man, turn in your geek credentials.” London-born Sheppard also has feature film credits, including IN […]Read On »

It’s not because he’s got a bullet lodged in his brain, thanks to getting shot by Leviathan big boss Dick (James Patrick Stuart). Exclusive Interview: Mark Sheppard gives the SUPERNATURAL Season 7 scoop on Crowley

Mark Sheppard in SUPERNATURAL - Season 5 - "The Devil You Know" | ©2010 The CW/Michael Courtney

Mark Sheppard is one of television’s reigning kings of returning characters. As CW’s SUPERNATURAL fans know, Sheppard’s character Crowley was also King of Hell for awhile, though he got demoted and then almost smote when angel Castiel (Misha Collins) ascended to godhood in the Season Six finale. The London-born Sheppard will be back in SUPERNATURAL’s upcoming seventh season and recently returned as Jim Sterling in the summer finale LEVERAGE. Right now, though, he’s talking about Crowley, who started out as a Crossroads Demon – or did he? The British-born Sheppard has some interesting theories about this – but he’s wary […]Read On »
