The season explores the plight of migrant farm workers and sexually abused teens in North Carolina. Michael J. McDonald has been Ridley’s producing partner for a number of years now. Season 1 of ABC Network’s AMERICAN CRIME was nominated for a Best Limited Series Emmy, and took home the gold for Regina King’s Supporting Actress performance. King is back in AMERICAN CRIME Season 2, which airs Wednesdays at 10 PM, but she – like returning cast mates Timothy Hutton, Felicity Huffman, Richard Cabral, Lili Taylor and Elvis Nolasco – is playing an entirely different character this year. Unlike the first season, which dealt with a racially-charged murder investigation, AMERICAN CRIME’s second year concerns the fallout after male high school student Taylor (Connor Jessup) is apparently raped by at least one […]Read On »

Subkoff also displays visual style to burn, setting her story in a uniquely-structured house […]Read On »

At the Television Critics Association press tour, TNT/TBS network president Michael Wright took a moment to talk with ASSIGNMENT X about the cancellation of LEVERAGE, which concluded its five-year run on TNT Christmas Day, 2012. ASSIGNMENT X: Why did you decide this was a good time to end LEVERAGE? MICHAEL WRIGHT: I’m actually happy you asked me this, because it’s never easy to cancel a show. This was the hardest cancellation ever, because [LEVERAGE executive producer] Dean [Devlin] is a friend. We were creative partners on this show. This show was born from a meeting Dean and [series co-creator] John […]Read On »

Stars: Timothy Hutton, Gina Bellman, Beth Riesgraf, Aldis Hodge, Christian Kane Writers: John Rogers & Chris Downey Director: Dean Devlin Network: TNT Original Telecast: December 25, 2012 It’s very frustrating that TNT decided to burn off the remaining episodes of Season 5 of LEVERAGE and do very little promotion with it. And then they went and cancelled it last week, with little fanfare. Even worse,  the series finale aired on Christmas night! Way to burn off an exceptional action series and make sure few people actually see it conclude properly. That little bit of anger aside, LEVERAGE wrapped up its […]Read On »

TNT’s action series LEVERAGE begins its fifth season on July 15 on TNT, and today, the show’s star Timothy Hutton gave a little tease about what to expect. The new season begins with Nate Ford (Hutton) and his team of former thieves (who help the helpless by taking down big targets by performing elaborate cons) have set up shop in Portland, OR (where the series is filmed). Nate’s addiction issues are the heart of the new season, as he finally recognizes he wants to get better, while “trust” is also a theme according to Hutton. “For Nate, the way his […]Read On »

Most of the time Sterling is there to thwart the team’s various jobs, but this time, he needs to enlist them for reasons that we later learn are far […]Read On »
