Nothing represents cuddly innocence like a child’s teddy bear, an image that brings to ear the honeyed sounds of orchestral happiness. And playing just that is the key to what might be the most brilliantly subversive talking “animal” score of all time, given the beautifully lush stylings of Seth MacFarlane’s pet composer Walter Murphy. Universal Pictures and MRC presented the World Premiere of TED, June 21st at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Fans lined the street and even Spider-man joined them to see Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis and Seth MacFarlane. Not to disappoint the fans they went over to sign autographs. TCA 2011: Fox talks about the greenlight of COSMOS: A SPACE-TIME ODYSSEY

The last thing anyone would expect the Fox network to do would be a documentary sequel to the hit 1980s PBS/Carl Sagan hosted and produced documentary science series COSMOS, but it’s official – they’ve greenlit it. Titled COSMOS: A SPACE-TIME ODYSSEY, the series will surprisingly be produced by FAMILY GUY creator Seth MacFarlane. At today’s Summer 2011 Television Critics Association Fox session, Fox’s Entertainment President Kevin Reilly spoke about picking up this property to series. “It’s a unique property that doesn’t feel like a natural fit on Fox, but it was the most successful thing PBS has done,” explains Reilly.
