Interview: WRATH OF THE TITANS composer Javier Navarrete fights for gods and men

WRATH OF THE TITANS soundtrack | ©2012 Water Tower Records

However, Hollywood’s cinematic worship towards ancient Greece’s supreme being, let alone legendary deities in general, is more than boisterous given the current films inspired by the mythic clashes of old. Rating: PG-13 Stars: Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Edgar Ramirez, Toby Kebbell, Rosamund Pike, Bill Nighy, Danny Huston, John Bell Writers: Dan Mazeau & David Leslie Johnson, story by Greg Berlanti & David Leslie Johnson & Dan Mazeau Director: Jonathan Liebesman Distributor: Warner Bros. Release Date: March 30, 2012 WRATH OF THE TITANS is actually more or less okay, but there are a number of elements that offer themselves up for nitpicking criticism at the outset. For one thing, while “titans” was being used figuratively to describe large and imposing beings and monsters in this movie’s forerunner, 2010’s CLASH […]Read On »

The film, directed by Nigel Close and written by William Ivory, concerns the real strike that occurred in 1968 at the Ford auto factory in Dagenham, England, when a one-day walkout by the plant’s 187 female workers over their designation as “unskilled” workers (and the commensurate lower wages, vs. the 50,000 skilled males then employed there) turned into a full-on strike for equal pay for equal work. We can see the cause is just. Stitching car seats together is not something that can be done […]Read On »
