Cast: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Jim Beaver, Misha Collins Writers: Eric. C. Charmelo, Nicole Snyder Director: Jennot Szwarc Network: The CW, airs Fridays Original Telecast: February 18, 2010 I mean really, what other show, besides SUPERNATURAL could get away with the title of this week’s episode of “Mannequin 3: The Reckoning”? I wonder how many viewers of the show, and for the matter readers of this article, realize that MANNEQUIN was a terrible ’80s movie starring Andrew McCarthy and a young Kim Cattrall. It scared the crap out of me. No, not because it is a horror movie (in fact, […]Read On »

TV Review: SUPERNATURAL – SEASON 6 – “Unforgiven”

Cast: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Jim Beaver Director: David Barrett Writers: Daniel Loflin Network: The CW, airs Friday nights Original Telecast: February 11, 2011 This was the type of episode on SUPERNATURAL that separates this show from the rest of the schlock that is on television at the moment. Where most shows might bypass or gloss over the fact that one of its major characters was a soulless, brutal creature hunter for a year, SUPERNATURAL does it in style and capitalizes on this aspect of its characters in order to provide great storytelling and further the mythology of […]Read On »

TV Review: SUPERNATURAL – SEASON 6 – “Like a Virgin”

iCast: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, Jim Beaver Director: Philip Sgriccia Writer: Adam Glass Network: The CW, airs Friday nights Original Telecast: February 4, 2011 I’m very happy that SUPERNATURAL is back. No other show on TV makes me laugh and keeps my interest as much as this show does. And “Like a Virgin” had ample amounts of comedy and compelling storytelling. This episode had two purposes for overall mythology and second half of SUPERNATURAL. One, provide a follow up to Sam (Jared Padalecki) getting his soul back into his body. And two, introducing what I believe will be […]Read On »

TV Review: SUPERNATURAL – SEASON 6 – “Appointment in Samarra”

Hot damn, I love Death. SUPERNATURAL has made a living on creating compelling characters that return to the show time and time again to either aid or hinder the Winchester brothers. Crowley (Mark Sheppard) being one of the all-time greats and the main thrust of the season (so far) this year.

Exclusive Interview: LIFE UNEXPECTED actor Kerr Smith grows up

Kerr Smith in LIFE UNEXPECTED - Season 2 | © 2010 The CW/Richard Phibbs

On CW’s LIFE UNEXPECTED, now wrapping out its second and (most likely) final season on Tuesdays, former high school sweethearts Cate (Shiri Appleby) and Nate (Kristoffer Polaha) are brought back together when their now sixteen-year-old daughter Lux (Brittany Robertson) – given up for adoption by Cate at birth – comes back into their lives. Cate’s now-husband Ryan, played by Kerr Smith, does his best to be the grown-up in the situation, since Lux is chronologically a teenager and Cate and Nate both still sometimes act like they are. Smith spoke with ASSIGNMENT X about playing it relatively straight on the […]Read On »
