In SHARKNADO, Syfy Channel’s descriptively-titled movie about a tornado that deposits sharks and flooding all over Los Angeles, Jaason Simmons plays Baz, who helps Ian Ziering’s character Fin search for his wife and family during the catastrophe. Simmons is no stranger to water – he played lifeguard Logan Fowler for forty-eight episodes of BAYWATCH – and he’s also done horror (THE DEVIL’S TATTOO, BLOODY MARY), but he says SHARKNADO is a first for him on many fronts. Stars: Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Cassie Scerbo, Jaason Simmons, Aubrey Peeples, Chuck Hittinger, John Heard Writer: Thunder Levin Director: Anthony C. Ferrante Network: Syfy Channel Original Airdate: Thursday, July 11 @ 9 PM [Full disclosure, SHARKNADO is directed by Assignment X  founder Anthony C. Ferrante, but he allowed us to review the film anyway] Important fact: sharks are in fact relatively delicate creatures that would not survive oxygen deprivation, chlorine, the Los Angeles sewage system or other environmental disruptions depicted here; to the extent they did survive, they would be fighting to breathe, not trying to consume everything in sight.
