HUSBANDS THE SERIES began life in 2011 as eleven two-minute episodes for the Internet, chronicling the early days of the marriage between performer Cheeks (Brad “Cheeks” Bell) and star baseball player Brady (Sean Hemeon). When a Kickstarter campaign was launched in 2012 to fund a second season, the goal was surpassed so quickly that the production was able to become more elaborate. Now Season 3 and 3.5 are here. Harry Lennix in MR. SOPHISTICATION | ©2013

Harry Lennix is a very prolific actor. In discussing all his new, recent and upcoming projects in a telephone interview, he jokes, “I’m in every movie ever made.” That’s a slight exaggeration, but the Chicago-born actor does have a lengthy resume that includes the two MATRIX sequels, the Oscar-winning RAY, the Shakespeare adaptation TITUS ANDRONICUS, ACROSS THE UNIVERSE and this year’s MAN OF STEEL. Lennix is also one of the stars of NBC’s new espionage thriller series THE BLACKLIST, which premieres September 23. A film that’s especially close to Lennix’s heart is MR. SOPHISTICATION – as well as playing the […]Read On »

THE CABIN IN THE WOODS opens Friday. Produced by Joss Whedon, directed by Drew Goddard and written by both, the highly intelligent horror movie is about five college students who go to the title location and, in the tradition of horror movies about cabins and woods, have a whole lot of experiences they neither expected nor wanted, although there’s much more to the story. The film got a quick greenlight from MGM and was filmed in 2009 – and then sat in limbo when MGM got into financial troubles. Lionsgate came to the rescue and is releasing CABIN on, appropriately […]Read On »
