With GLEE entering Season 3, controversy has dogged the Fox show in the last few weeks. Some of it stems with co-creator Ryan Murphy talking about writing three of the show’s primary leads off the show (Chris Colfer, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith) at the end of this season by having them graduating, but failing to mention he was quietly developing a spin-off for them. It all blew up in everyone’s face, with tons of back-pedaling, and at today’s Summer 2011 Television Critics Association executive session, Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly spoke about it from the network perspective. “The public nature […]Read On »

One of the big wins for the Fox network last season was the risky move of its signature science-fiction series FRINGE from Thursday nights to Fridays – resulting in sustained ratings and giving Fox a stronghold on what has been a traditionally difficult night for them. At today’s Summer 2011 Television Critics Association session with Fox Entertianment President Kevin Reilly, he says their expectations for FRINGE going into Season 4 on Fridays is more of the same. “One of the good things of having a strong network is we can support creative shows that should be on the air,” says […]Read On »

AMERICA’S GOT TALENT Recap: Fourth Hollywood Quarter-Finals eliminations

Team iLuminate on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT - Season 6 - Hollywood Quarter-Finals Week 4 | ©2011 NBC/Trae Patton

Three out of the four acts picked tonight on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT Quarter-Finals – Hollywood Week 4 were no big surprise. Team Illuminate, Fatally Unique and Zuma Zuma were as sure a thing as anything can be. What was surprising was that Yellow Designs Stunt Team didn’t make it and comedian Melissa Villasenor did make it. Ousted were the death defying artist Frank Miles, singer Taylor Davis and the Chipettes sounding Avery and the Calico Hearts. Highlights included a funny segment about Howie Mandel running around before the show making wise with the crew and tormenting his co-hosts Sharon Osbourne […]Read On »

Stars: Eddie McClintock, Joanne Kelly, Saul Rubinek, Genelle Williams, Allison Scagliotti, Aaron Ashmore, Jaime Murray, Ashley Williams Writer: Holly Harold Director: Jeremiah S. Chechik Network: Syfy, Mondays @ 9 PM Airdate: August 1, 2011 WAREHOUSE 13 still remains one of my favorite “fun” genre series that I can watch, enjoy, and not have to follow year’s worth of inter-connecting plotlines and conspiracies. I like the fact that the show runners and writers have kept the series fresh, light, and entertaining during its three year run. This week’s episode “Queen for a Day” is no exception. Plus it does what so […]Read On »

The Dork Side takes on movie trailers including THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, THE SMURFS and more

Andrew Garfield is Spider-Man in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN | ©2011 Sony Pictures/Marvel

Sometimes the best thing about going to the movies is seeing the movie trailers. Other times … not so much. Here are five movie previews that I watched so you don’t have to. THE SMURFS From the director of BIG MOMMA’S HOUSE and SCOOBY-DOO is another movie that will make you make you wish you were never born. This movie looks so smurfin’ bad. I would rather eat a smurfin’ gun than see it. Neil Patrick Harris deserves better than this. THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN OK, I’m not going to lie to you, dear readers. I am going to see this […]Read On »

Zuma Zuma perform on AMERICA'S GOT TALENT - Season 6 - Quarter Finals - Hollywood Week 4 | ©2011 NBC/Trae Patton

The next twelve performed on AMERICA’S GOT TALENT tonight hoping for that coveted chance to go to the sixth season semi-finals. A few brought their “A” game and some forgot to bring anything! The competition is heating up. This might be the hardest group to predict who is going through and who is going home. Most stepped up their acts, only a few faltered. It will be interesting to see what America chose as their top three, remember the judges get a pick as well. Shockingly Piers Morgan only buzzed three acts as opposed to his usual four. More shocking […]Read On »
