INCEPTION and FRINGE are big winners at the 37th Annual Saturn Awards

Winners for the 37th Annual Saturn Awards presented by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films were handed out last night at the Castaway in Burbank, CA. For movies, INCEPTION was the big winner (taking home Best Scieince Fiction film, Best Writer and Best Director (for Christopher Nolan), while FRINGE was the big TV winner (it took home Best Network TV series, while John Noble nabbed Best Supporting Actor On TV and Anna Torv took home Best Actress on TV). Disney•Pixar held the World Premiere of CARS 2 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on June 18th. Hollywood Boulevard was transformed into the World Grand Prix between Highland and Orange. Life-Size remote-controlled cars of Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile came down the black carpet, which looked like a racetrack. Warner Bros. held the Los Angeles World Premiere of GREEN LANTERN June 15th at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Fans were everywhere you looked as Hollywood Boulevard was closed to traffic. Hoping to catch the stars of the movie, which is based upon the characters appearing in the comic book published by DC Comics.  They were not disappointed as Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively and others signed autographs and posed for pictures with them. Well, the latest poster for the final HARRY POTTER film – HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS – PART 2 has arrived and it says it all: “It All Ends.” Arriving in theaters in 3D on July 15, the final chapter of the film adaptations of J.K. TNT presented the premiere screening of DreamWorks Television and Executive Producer Steven Spielberg’s brand new series FALLING SKIES on June 13th at the Pacific Design Center’s Silver Screen Theater in West Hollywood. In FALLING SKIES aliens have invaded Earth in military force. People have gone into hiding to escape the aliens and find themselves doing extraordinary things to survive.
