THE HOUR is back for a second season on BBCA America. It’s now 1957 and we’re back in the offices and studios of the British news program “The Hour,” where producer Bel (Romola Garai), anchorman Hector (Dominic West) and journalist Freddie (Ben Whishaw) have all reconvened ten months after the harrowing events of the first season. First Look: New photo of Matt Smith from the DOCTOR WHO Christmas special 2012

The BBC has released a new publicity photograph of Matt Smith as the Doctor sporting a considerably darker (and perhaps even more ‘Doctorish?’) outfit. The picture provides a sneak peek of this year’s DOCTOR WHO Christmas special. A prequel to the special will air as part of this Friday’s CHILDREN IN NEED live charity event on BBC One sometime around the 8:30-9:00pm slot. A trailer for the special itself, which will see the Doctor meeting his new companion played by Jenna-Louise Coleman, will accompany the prequel. On BBC America’s COPPER, which has its first-season finale tonight at 10 PM, Tom Weston-Jones plays the title character, Kevin Corcoran. Corcoran is a police detective who patrols the extremely mean streets of the Five Points neighborhood in 1864 New York. He gets a lot of help from two fellow Union Civil War veterans.
