Thomas the pastor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Saratoga, has his normal daily duties involving his parish and his parishioners, but when called to it, he also is one of the areas few practicing exorcist priests. Most TV series have their share of growing pains, but with Starz’s SPARTACUS, the behind the scenes complications have been almost as epic as the onscreen story. Shot in New Zealand with green-screen backgrounds to accommodate the surroundings of ancient Rome, the first season, SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND, starred Andy Whitfield as the title hero in his days as a slave/gladiator. The show was a major hit for Starz in its thirteen-episode run last year, and its ending, with the gladiators rebelling violently against their masters, seemed to set the stage for a Season Two depicting the beginnings of the […]Read On »

It only last one-season, but its rich mythology and feature-film qualities made it a stand-out (Tobe Hooper even helmed the pilot). The story was set in the 1960s and followed John Loengard (Eric Close) and Kimberly Sayers (Megan Ward) as they were called into action by the government to take down an unseen […]Read On »

STAR WARS - original movie poster |©LucasFilm

“It’s a trap!” “I have a strange feeling about this.” “Never tell me the odds.” “Search your feelings, you know it to be true!” “All too easy.” “But I was going into Tosche Station to pick up some power converters!” I think half of the things I say on a daily basis are from a STAR WARS movie. Recently, some cool bloggers in my town wrote about movie quotes that have worked themselves into their everyday lives. I repeat a lot of movie quotes throughout the day. For example, “I am Jack’s complete lack of surprise” from THE FIGHT CLUB. […]Read On »
