Heather Morris in GLEE - Season 2 | ©2010 Fox/Miranda Penn Turin

One of the weekly joys of GLEE is getting a weekly Brittany fix. Each week, the writers give Heather Morris, who plays Brittany, some kind of out-of-left field line that usually proves to be absolutely hilarious. Is Brittany dumb or was she made that way? ASSIGNMENT X caught up with Morris for a few minutes recently to talk about her character, why she loves the opportunity GLEE has afforded her and her own theories into Brittany’s general lack of judgment. ASSIGNMENT X: When did you realize you were getting all the good lines on the show? HEATHER MORRIS: I realized […]Read On »

It turns out that evil reptilian aliens who invade Earth are so unpredictable that they can surprise even the actors who play them. At least, Morena Baccarin says, this is the case with Anna, the ruthless Visitor leader she portrays on V, which has its second season finale tonight on ABC at 9. This season, Brazilian-born Baccarin (a heroine to fans of FIREFLY and SERENITY for portraying Inara Serra as well as a veteran of STARGATE SG-1 as the dangerous Adria) killed a fellow visitor with her tail and ingested a rodent, not to mention dealing with her mother Diana, […]Read On »

On NBC’s CHUCK, now in its fourth season on Mondays at 8 PM, Zachary Levi may play the title spy with Intersect-given superpowers, but it’s Chuck’s brother-in-law Devon Woodcomb, played by Ryan McPartlin, who is nicknamed – without irony – Captain Awesome. There’s good reason for this: Devon is the perfect doctor, friend, boyfriend-turned-husband and now dad to baby Clara (Chuck’s niece). He’s also pretty awesome in appearance, which the other characters remark upon with regularity. Chicago native McPartlin seems to take everything in stride as easily as Devon does, sounding happy and relaxed as he talks about the character […]Read On »
