Actor Garret Dillahunt grew up in Washington State. He’s often associated with portraying ominous folks, though he has had his saintly moments on screen – he was even Jesus Christ in THE BOOK OF DANIEL – and has roots on stage and in comedy. With Fox’s freshman Tuesday night half-hour success RAISING HOPE (returning for new episodes tonight), Dillahunt returns to humor. His character Burt Chance is a married man who is nonplused to become a grandfather, especially when living-at-home son Jimmy (Lucas Neff) decides to keep baby Hope after Hope’s serial killer mom is executed. In part one of […]Read On »

While speaking to the press today, BONES showrunner Hart Hanson talked as bit about the Season 6 finale and teases about what to expect as well as the status of a Season 7 renewal. “The last two episodes of this season are going to run the whole gamut of tones that BONES does from A to Z – a lot happens in those last two episodes,” says Hanson. “I think the title of the season finale ‘A Change in the Game’ is about as much as I want to say about in any detail. It’s going to be one of […]Read On »

Stars: Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Fiennes, Eva Green, Claire Forlani Writer: Louise Fox & Chris Chibnall Director: Jeremy Podeswa Network: Starz, airs Friday nights Original Telecast: April 15th, 2010 I had someone complaining to me this week that they wanted CAMELOT to be more like SPARTACUS and less like THE TUDORS. I took offense to that since I really enjoy the series, and find it to be a nice balance of action, plot, and character to keep me interested and to keep the story moving forward at a nice pace. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love SPARTACUS, but I […]Read On »

CD Review: DOCTOR WHO: SERIES 5 – Original Soundtrack

DOCTOR WHO: SERIES 5 soundtrack | ©2011 Silva Screen Records

Where some other hugely popular sci-fi series are basically stuck in time and space, DOCTOR WHO is blessed by its ability to jump all over the two in an English phone booth. That’s been a particular mitzvah to composer Murray Gold since he jumped aboard the TARDIS’ sassy reboot so many series ago. Now the CD hand strikes 5 with a two-disc compilation that continues to show off WHO scoring as the Gold standard when it comes to some of the most delightfully inventive TV scoring in any one’s universe, music that mostly packs a rambunctious sense of joy to […]Read On »
