The series follows a documentary crew going down the Amazon River to search for a missing in action TV personality adventurer. What they find could very well be not of this earth. At today’s ABC TCA panel, ABC Entertainment Group President Paul Lee says the faux documentary series works perfectly as an eight episode first season. “Early on when we were about to pick it up, I […]Read On »

The cast of GLEE (L-R: Ashley Fink; Dianna Agron; Lea Michele; Heather Morrison; Kevin McHale; Jenna Ushkowitz; Amber Riley, Naya Rivera) visits New York in the Season 2 finale - "New York" | ©2011 Fox/Craig Blankenhorn

This season had some really high points, and some horribly preachy overdone episodes, but all in all I try to just remember the moments that honestly were amazing. Following on the heels of last week’s episode “Funeral” (which was one of BEST episodes of the […]Read On »

The Dork Side: The problem with GLEE and its real “agenda”

Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron and Lea Michele in GLEE - Season 2 - "Night of Neglect" | ©2011 Fox/Adam Rose

I like GLEE. I really do, but, I have a problem with it, and I want you to know that I criticize it, because I care. Conservative pundits have been ranting about the supposed gay agenda the show is pushing, which is completely ridiculous. Of course, several media outlets ran with the story even though it’s total crap. There is no gay agenda. It’s just a TV show that treats its gay characters like actual human beings. “Gay people are people, too. Film at 11.” GLEE (which airs its Season 2 finale tonight) does a lot of things right. It […]Read On »

TV Review: GLEE – Season 2 – “Funeral”

Jane Lynch, Jessalyn Golsig, Kent Avenido in GLEE - Season 2 - "Funeral" | ©2011 Fox/Beth Dubber

Stars: Dianna Agron, Chris Colfer, Jessalyn Gilsig, Jane Lynch, Jayma Mays, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Matthew Morrison, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, Jenna Ushkowitz Writer: Ryan Murphy Director:  Bradley Buecker Network: Fox, airs Tuesday nights Original Telecast: May 18, 2011 Characters should be the backbone of any TV series. They should move a series forward, they should connect with an audience and there should be some consistency in their actions as well. With GLEE in Season 2, it’s proven to be a topsy-turvy ride character-wise with random motivations, left-field personality switches and a heavy reliance on romantic pairings that […]Read On »

Incidentally, if I could figure out what […]Read On »
